Serious Stuff | The New Wolfs Howl →
Yes, It’s serious stuff. Wolf’s words about depression and suicide make for serious reading, but it’s worth it.
As a long-term supporter I can kind of empathise with the words.
I wrote (as some will know) a pretty long few posts about our personal situation.
Much has improved since then but I haven’t been able to write the updates in a format that makes sense.

BBC NEWS | Business | E-mail is ruining my life! →
The Money Programme: E-mail is ruining my life! BBC2 at 1900 on Friday, 7 March.
Could be an interesting show to watch. The BBC report reckons that one FTSE company lost £39m with its staff having to deal with unwanted and spam emails.
Another organisation implemented “e-mail free Wednesday” where the employees couldn’t send anything on that day. The report doesn’t...
Ringing the changes - Top Gear →
Audi is the new BMW. I can’t stand Beemer drivers but this TG article is putting Audi drivers in the same band.
Whatever, I guess I am a “slack-jawed Stella drinker” as I love the R8. But I don’t like Stella and I really do try not to be slack-jawed. I don’t really know what it means but can guess that it’s not a good thing!

Car-Building Legend Boyd Coddington Dies - TIME →
I have never been a great fan of the guy or his work ethics, but the cars? Damn.
RIP Boyd

After reading Charity’s review of the new Macbook Air I want a Mac even more! Ho hum - I can always dream. Or steal…
Maybe not then.
Crazy In Car Entertainment System Install →
Quite simply stunning. This guy has used carbon fibre, copper pipe and aluminium amongst other products to create an awesome ICE install.
I will probably never have the skills to create something like this, but damn am I going to try! Anybody want to give me a Mini so I can “create”? No? Oh, I have three I can play with…

Well Done Microsoft!
The software giant has released a list of programs that may be broken by the SP1 update for Vista.
Most of the software hit by the upgrade are security programs that prevent Windows users falling prey to viruses, trojans and booby-trapped webpages.
Yet another reason not to use Vista then!
Defensio gets an update →
Wolfie posted that one of the best Anti-Spam plugins, Defensio, has just been updated.
I have been using it for a month or so now and am more than happy with it.
If you’re still using Akismet, seriously consider switching. Unfortunately, you can’t run Akismet and Defensio on the same WordPress install.
Thanks to Wolfie for the heads up!

RIP Jeremy →
Whether you loved him or hated him (or his work anyway), there’s no denying that Jeremy Beadle was one of the hardest working celebrities in the UK. His charity work alone raised millions and he introduced the concept of home video clip shows.
Rest In Peace Jeremy.

As much as anything, I am book marking this for me so I remember to go have a look at Fine Tune!
Thanks Jon - picked up from your RSS feed. :)
Introducing Cron - Sitepoint →
I love sitepoint.com. I used it lots when I was first playing with CSS a few years ago. Taught me loads that I have managed to bring forward when playing with WordPress themes. I’m still mucking about with WP-O-Matic trying to get the cron job working right. Trent mentioned “wget” so I googled it and up popped this intro from Site Point.
Playing, hopefully this Tumblr post...
Feed Aggregator Plugin For Wordpress →
This Tumblr post is mainly to test how the Cron job is working. I’m having a couple of issues with it at the moment and they’re starting to annoy me. I don’t know if it’s the server (I suspect not) or the cron.php in the plugin. There’s a strange code at the end, I think some sort of password, and I think that’s failing a validation check. I am not sure, I...

Not really sure that the comments Dave makes about his job ((Will he secure a promotion before being stuck in a really boring department (it is a Statistics office after all))
and the photography job will only really take off if he contacts his business partner who hasn’t heard from him since Christmas Eve. Admittedly, that works both ways…
Defence minister plans Dara visit →
The Baroness is going to visit Almondbank before making a decision about whether to sell the organisation to the Canadians.
I don’t have a problem with the sale but the government really should have all the information before deciding to compromise the UK’s ability to maintain its helicopter fleet!

John reckons blogs are stupid, as are bloggers. To be honest, I read this as just an inflammatory post from some dork that thinks he’s important because he gets published in a “quality” broadsheet…
